...till All Hallows Eve. The leaves are already starting to change color and fall off the trees here in the Upper Midwest.

The Return of Spirit Grove

While this year's Halloween yard display, at our house, is dubbed 'Sacred Grove', Father in Law Holidays has given me the green light to also decorate a small portion of his property. This area, which is right down the street, is one of Toddler Holidays' favorite play spots. We call it 'Spirit Grove' as it is reminiscent of Spirit Grove displays of years past (see here and here).

In one month, I will slowly start filling the grove with classic Halloween decorations: bats, ghosts, spiders, bones, etc. On Trick or Treat night, which is October 30th in our town this year, I will add some glowing lanterns to the mix.

...till Fall. 2 months till Halloween week. About 2 1/2 months till Pee Wee in the Womb Holidays #2 is expected to arrive.

1 1/2 Months

...till Halloween season begins. One week till Father and Stepmother Holidays arrive for their first visit this year. I plan on enlisting Father Holidays to help me with a mini-Halloween project or two for the yard display.

Summer is halfway over

The drumbeats of Fall now begin to grow louder.

At Home

Visited an At Home garden center today, formerly known as Garden Ridge. A great selection of seasonal items on display, including lots of high quality, reasonably priced Halloween stuff. These two decorations were Toddler Holidays' favorites:

 

2 Months

...till Halloween season begins (October). Last year, I started decorating on the first day of Fall, but this year, I'm considering doing more of a 'Big Bang' at the very end.
