Last Halloween, I invited a local Goodwill group that specializes in caring for the developmentally disabled. A couple of staff members brought 4 or 5 residents to Spirit Grove for trick or treat, and they seemed to enjoy it. It was a really special experience for me.
A couple of days ago, I started contemplating whether or not there was anything I could do for them around Easter. After speaking with Mrs. Holidays, we decided that perhaps inviting them over for an Easter egg hunt might be a fun idea. So, I reached out to my contact at the Goodwill, and lo and behold, she thought it was a great idea too!
We've got a small front yard and a spacious back yard in which to hide the eggs. Time to start brainstorming.
